Diabetic Education Class

The HATT Foundation, Inc is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. HATT Foundation is accredited with the American Diabetes Association (ADA) and our diabetes educators are ADA certified. HATT offers interactive and informational education classes about diabetes. HATT Diabetes Education Class are not free they can be paid out of pocket or with your health insurance. Most health insurances cover Diabetes Self Management Training/Classes (DSMT). All we require is for the class participant to attend all 5 2-hour classes and for those paying with their health insurance, you must provide us a copy of your driver's license front and back and a copy of your health insurance. Classes will be held online soon.

Why is the education important?

These classes will provide in-depth information on diabetes and self-management. The topics range from the history of diabetes to the nutritional diets for people living with diabetes, how diabetes affects human body and brain, to helping each class participant to reach their goals post class. HATT Foundation will also provide visual aids on how to properly use blood glucose devices, use of insulin, and when to test blood sugar levels. We will have guest speakers such as fitness instructors, nurses, nutritionists and other health professionals come in and educate our eager-to-learn community dwellers about the serious issues of diabetes.
